Fitness Services
We also provide seniors with the opportunity of guided, supervised fitness programs. These programs are designed to enhance function, maximize independence and improve quality of life by addressing the individual's unique fitness needs and interests. Focus is placed on life-long learning, with program objectives addressed through a range of cardiovascular, strength, balance and flexibility activities.
Program participants complete a short health history and if needed, a physician referral form is requested. Once this information is obtained, you are scheduled with an exercise physiologist who assesses your range of motion, strength, body composition, balance and flexibility. Working with your exercise physiologist, your results are explained and a program is developed to address your fitness needs, while taking into consideration your interests. Subsequent visits are lead and supervised by the exercise physiologist. At regular intervals, your progress is reassessed and adjustments to your program are made to keep you moving toward your fitness goals.
Most insurances do not cover general prevention or maintenance programs such as this. However, the fee for program participation is affordable and based on a month-to-month flat rate.
